Started from Real Frustration

Most investing advice either talks down to you or uses jargon that makes your eyes glaze over. And honestly, a lot of the industry benefits from keeping things confusing.

We built Yuvoxer after watching too many friends put off investing for years because they felt intimidated. The truth is, the basics aren't that complicated once someone explains them in plain language.

Our first workshop in 2019 had twelve people in a community center in Abbotsford. Now we work with folks across Canada, but the approach hasn't changed much — clear explanations, real examples, and no pressure to buy anything.

The goal was never to turn everyone into day traders. We just wanted to help regular people understand how investing works so they could make smarter decisions with their own money.

How We Actually Teach

Build Understanding First

Before talking about specific investments, we make sure you understand how markets work. Sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised how many courses skip this part.

Use Your Real Numbers

Generic examples only go so far. We work through scenarios based on your actual financial situation, goals, and timeline. Way more useful than hypotheticals.

Answer the Dumb Questions

There aren't any dumb questions, but there are lots that people feel weird asking. We create space for those because they're usually the most important ones.

Follow-Up Support

Learning doesn't stop when the session ends. We're available for questions as you start applying what you learned. That's when real understanding happens anyway.

Who's Behind This

Our team includes former financial advisors who got tired of sales quotas, teachers who wanted to make finance accessible, and people who learned investing the hard way and want to save others the trouble.

Linnea Bjornstad leads most of our programs. She spent eight years in traditional finance before realizing she'd rather teach than sell. Her background helps, but what really matters is that she remembers what it felt like to be completely confused by all this stuff.

We've grown the team over the past few years, but everyone shares the same philosophy — explain clearly, answer honestly, and never make someone feel stupid for not knowing something yet.
